October - November
October is the time of year when all the large stingrays come out of deep water to give birth they choose Pattaya because the bay is shallow around 30 meters. They give birth to live young normally one or two. They sometimes give birth on the boat to a perfect mini model of there mum. This goes on until the end of November this is not the only thing we catch but there are very large numbers of sand rays at this time of year.
November to December
This time of year is the Marlin ,Sailfish season if you are very lucky you might hook one they are thin on the ground these days but are still around. The hay day was about 10 years ago when the pattaya sports club went out and killed every one they caught . The Pattaya sports club is still around but its fishing section has been disbanded thank god. Please put all bill fish back alive and save Pattaya,s Game fishing for our children
January - February
The fish come in all shapes and sizes in these waters and at this time of year there is no odder shape than a shovel nose ray. A cross between a shark and a ray these fish can grow to 200Kg, we landed one 70kg this year and a few around the 60 KG a friend of mine has landed this ray he says over 150 KG. The more we catch the better we will know just how big they grow we now have some very big IGFA scales to weigh mobby dick if you land it. The other fish we catch at this time of year are very large Cobia, Andy has landed one 35 KG at the end of January a personal best cobia for him
March - April
This is what we think is the best time of year for deep sea fishing in Pattaya with huge shoals of dolphin fish showing up they tend to be a long way out but these fish are one of the best fighting best tasting sports fish in the world. The bonus is there are large sharks feeding on them and there is a good chance of a tiger shark with our new Penn 12/0 reel loaded with 200 Lb line ( If you have had a heart attack or not in good shape do not fish for sharks. )
May - June
A time of year were we go out and catch a mixed bag from queen fish to grouper there are fish here all year round and some fish are here in big numbers at certain months but remember there are always fish. Some of the best fishing in Pattaya is in May and June it is just we will not be targeting one kind of fish
July - September
This time of year is when the Queen fish show up in larger groups sometimes its pure madness as they jump around the boat when hooked in a mad attempt to get free. They are great fun on light tackle and fall to a silver spinner, small fish and small squid do not let the size of the bait put you off, Queen fish are great fun.
